The Secret Weapon of Successful Web Marketing Is – Internet-Marketing

The Secret Weapon of Successful Web Marketing Is

Impulse shopping in the checkout lane may be what drives grocery store profits, but chances are it doesn't do a thing for your business. Your customers are far more likely to need up to nine contacts from you before they trust you enough to buy from you.Nine! That's up sharply from when I entered the marketing field lo those many years ago, and you should expect that number to continue rising over your career too. The good news is that there are some very simple steps you can take to eliminate some of those contacts, or at least shorten the time span from initial contact to first sale. The first step is to acknowledge that we've created our own monster in our efforts to build our businesses. On average, we're bombarded by more than 3,000 sales and marketing messages everyday. That's 3,000 times a day someone waves something in our face, or shouts something in our ear in an effort to get us to buy this, do that, and spend the rest now.Next, think about how you react to this daily assault. As consumers (for ourselves or our company), we've all gotten very good at tuning ads out online. It's a basic survival tactic.Like warriors on a dawn patrol in enemy territory, we'll jump from a site two seconds after we land there if we catch a glimpse of an annoying animated gif whosits or doodad in the corner of the page. We use weapons like search engines, popup blockers, personal portal homepages and newsreaders to filter out all but the information we want to see right now.But we do more than try to avoid them. We sneer at blinking yellow "security alerts" that offer to eliminate adware deposited on our computer when someone clicks on something like a blinking yellow security alert message. We roll our eyes at Hollywood style hype. And our response to claims of "new and improved" anything is a yawned, "yeah, right."We've become jaded, cynical, distrustful, and focused on nothing but fending off all distractions between us and the information we're online to retrieve. Is it any wonder we arrive at the end of our day exhausted, with cramped hands, hunched shoulders and clenched jaws? Now switch hats quickly and look at this from your perspective as a business promoting yourself online. Any way you can help a battle weary consumer get more value out of your website and emails will help you earn their business, right?Obviously, giving them a clearly marked path from landing point to information source wrapped in an appealing design is something you must do. But that alone may not be enough to win their dollars. You still have to win their attention and their respect before they'll set foot on that path.Fortunately there is a very simple, affordable way you can do it. With no shouting.Today's streaming video tools allow you to easily provide visitors with a brief personal message that does more than command instant attention. A simple greeting that you create and manage yourself opens the door to a genuine conversation. All the technical barriers of the web fall away in the face of it and your visitor learns what he needs to know about you in seconds. How? Your expressions, your gestures, your smile, and your tone of voice, hold more power to attract attention, convey a deeper meaning to your message and convince people of your sincerity than anything else you can do. Scientists have proven that up to 93% of what we learn and remember from a conversation comes from these unspoken, and unwritten clues.Your human visitors absorb and process all that complicated information a matter of seconds in an attempt to answer one question. They're looking for the consistency between your words and your non verbal message that will tell them whether or not they can trust you and believe what you say has value to them. That makes you the very best tool you have to increase your credibility. If you're feeling too shy to step in front of the camera consider this. As a consumer, you wouldn't dream of turning off your spam filters and popup blockers, or opening every attachment that came your way.As a businessman using the Internet to generate leads or sales for your company, can you really afford to leave your big gun at home?Copyright 2005 Liz MicikLiz Micik turns your video learning curve into a fast and easy profit curve in her newest book, "Cue the Director: 10 Simple Steps to Online Video Success."Visit http://www.powerpresenters.com to have free weekly video tips emailed to you.

The Secret of Grinding Out a Profit-Gambling

The Secret of Grinding Out a Profit

Pssst...Wanna know a secret? How about the secrets of grinding out a profit? The term "grinding" means making a small amount of money on a consistent basis. Many dealers look at grinders with derision because they make bets and then take them down after each one hits, which means constant work for the poor dealers. These dealers can spot a grinder right away because they never press bets and are satisfied with one small profit on each shooter. But can you really make a consistent profit with grinding?Let's find out!One way to grind out profits is to bet don't-come and make a corresponding place bet on the same number. If you have a $10 don't-come that goes to the six or eight, you can place the same number for $6. If the seven rolls (which is favored) you'll win $10 (and lose $6), but if the six rolls you'll only lose $3 instead of $10.If the point is four or ten, you can place either number for $5 to balance out your $10 don't-come. If the seven rolls now you'll win $5 ($10 - $5), but if the four/ten rolls you only lose $1 ($9 - $10) instead of $10.Finally, with a five or nine point, you can also place either number for $5 to balance out your $10 don't come. If the seven rolls you'll win $5 ($10 -$5), but if the 5/9 rolls you only lose $3 ($7 - $10) instead of $10.If you bet at a higher level, you can make bets that will win if either the point or the seven rolls. For example, if you have a $25 don't-come that goes to the six or eight, you can place either number for $24. If the seven rolls you win $25 and lose $24, giving you a $1 profit. And, if the 6/8 rolls, you win $28 and lose $25, which still gives you a profit of $3.You can use the same $25 don't-come on a 5/9 point, and place either number for $20. If the seven rolls you win $25 and lose $20, giving you $5. If the 5/9 rolls, you win $28 and lose $25, which gives you a $3 profit. Finally, with a $25 don't-come on a 4/10 point, you can place either number for $15. If the seven rolls you win $25 and lose $15, giving you a $10 profit. If the 4/10 roll, you win $27 and lose $25, which still puts you $2 ahead.Of course, the main disadvantage to all of these don't bets is that you're vulnerable to the seven or eleven while you're in the don't-come box. You can protect this don't-come bet in a number of ways. The most common is by laying the four and/or ten and then removing them when the bet is placed. See my articles on don't betting for other methods of protecting your don't-come bet. Some people do not like "grinding" as they say it is a boring method of playing and does not provide enough monetary reward. But it is a way to make a nice, consistent profit, as well as gather up a lot of good comps, which could even be worth more than your winnings! Give it a try the next time you play!Pssst...! Now you know the secrets of grinding out a profit!

A Secret Technique that Entrepreneurs Can Use to Almost GUARANTEE Success! – Goal-Setting

A Secret Technique that Entrepreneurs Can Use to Almost GUARANTEE Success!

If you were to walk up and ask successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs what they did to succeed or fail, most of them would cite some mentor or lack of trait... Blame genetics or outside influence. But if you were to ask the exact same group if they used this secret, 99% of successful entrepreneurs would say yes - and almost all of the unsuccessful entrepreneurs would ask what you were talking about...The secret to being a successful entrepreneur is very, very simple. It is called "Quantifiable Goals". It might sound complicated, but when you have finished reading this article you will completely understand what it means - and why it is so important.Let's say, for example, that you walk into a room full of entrepreneurs, and ask them to state their goals. To state why they are ultimately in business for themselves. Most of them will respond something along the lines of time or money. But watch them puzzle when you ask them WHY they want to earn money or have that extra time. This is the most essential part of Quantifiable Goals. Any John Doe can say he wants to make money, but why? Is there something in particular he wants to buy? Something he wants to do with that time?Once you establish WHY you want that extra time or money, you have just taken a big step towards success. You now have a goal. For example, you want that extra money to buy a house. Buying a house is your goal. Now comes the Quantifiable part. How much are you going to spend on this house? $250,000? $1 million? You need to come up with a dollar amount or time amount, something of quantity, to properly set your goals. That way, once you earn that $250,000 or gain those 3 hours, you have essentially attained your goal. But waking up one morning and deciding to earn $250,000 doesn't make it happen. So how do you achieve your long-term Quantifiable Goal? By breaking it up into smaller, medium term quantifiable goals. For the example we have been using, buying a house for $250,000, your medium-term goals would most likely be monetary. You could set goals to complete two projects that would each bring you $125,000, or even 10 projects that would bring you $25,000, or break it down even further. But what good are these goals anyway? They are still difficult to achieve, and how do you know what to do to achieve these goals?Well, you break each of your medium-term quantifiable goals into short term goals. For example, if you chose to get two projects with a price tag of $125,000 each, your first goal might be to think of what kinds of projects you can do that would bring that kind of money in for you. Your next goal would be to close the sale on such a project, and then to complete the project, and finally to collect payment. That way, each medium-term goal is broken down into manageable tasks. At this point, you want to break everything down into a flow chart to help establish your goals. Put your life quantifiable goal at the top on its own piece of paper. Then, put each of your medium-term goals on their own paper in a horizontal line directly beneath your life goal. Then directly below each medium goal, fill a sheet with the short term goals that it will take to achieve each medium term goal. This method will help you visualize what you are working towards, and how each step is necessary to achieve your dream. Now you'll want to check off each short term goal as you complete it, completing one sheet at a time. By doing this, you will be able to visually SEE your results progress quickly. Each time you complete a short-term goal, you are one step closer to completing a medium-term goal, which brings you one step closer to completing your life goal. Now that you know the secret, what are you going to do about it? I suggest following the visualization techniques given, and build yourself a "life pyramid" on a wall that is visible while you are working. Glance at it every so often, and it will keep you on track. Reward yourself when you complete your goals - from the smallest achievement to completing the entire pyramid. It will most likely be the most positive experience in your life to see that pyramid completed - and the construction process of the pyramid itself will set you on the right path.Cherilyn R. Lester, an entrepreneurial coach with Novus Life & Career Coaching, is both a successful entrepreneur and a successful coach.
