Build the Snowball and It Will Run – Internet-Marketing

Build the Snowball and It Will Run

Setting up your own online business can seem extremely daunting. Whether you've
already got a business and want to sell products and services online or want to start
from scratch with a new business, there is a great deal to think about. However, despite the economic doom and gloom, there is real money to be made
from web-based businesses. But where do you begin? If you're starting from scratch, the first thing you need to decide is what you're
going to sell and who you want to sell it to. The Web is a global marketplace, but
that doesn't mean your business has to be international. Some of the most
successful internet businesses target tight niches. When making the decision about
what type of business to start you'll need to research the types of products and
services that are in demand and the competition for supplying those to customers.
The ratio of demand to supply will give you an idea of the likely profitability of any
business idea. After all, there's no point in starting a business that's not going to
make a profit, is there? If you have expertise in a particular subject or area, then that's a great place to
start. If there's a subject you're passionate about then start there. Focus on what
you can offer that's unique. It's much better to offer something unique in a small
niche market than try and compete with a thousand other companies in a huge
market. Remember the bigger the market the more competitors you'll have. And on
the Web, the chances are high that they'll all know more than you about the
techniques associated with marketing and selling on the internet. If you've already got an offline business that you want to promote on the Web, or
have products or services that you want to sell on the internet, then you're a good
part of the way there. However, whether you've already got a business or have a good idea for starting
one, there's a great deal to do to be successful on the Web. You have to come up
with a domain name and register it, build a website (or get someone to build it for
you), and find someone to host it. If you want to sell products or services directly
from your site, you'll need to build-in online shopping facilities, and if you want to
accept credit cards, you'll need a merchant account .Then there's the promotion. It's all very well having a website out there in cyber
space, but if no-one knows it's there, you won't get any customers. So you have to
promote it, on and off-line.How do you get visitors and how do you ensure they are in your target market? The
most cost-effective way of generating targeted traffic on the Web is by ranking
highly in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN for keywords related to
your business. Unfortunately there are thousands of Web marketing professionals
out there who are intent on making sure their sites rank highly, meaning that the
chance of a relative newcomer getting a top 30 ranking in a search engine is small.
Without a ranking in the top thirty on the major search engines you might as well be
invisible. Finally, and most importantly, once you've got traffic, how do you convert a
reasonable percentage of it into income? How do you build the kind of trust and
credibility online that keeps visitors coming back and spending money?Phew! If you weren't daunted before, you will be by now. Fortunately, none of the
problems outlined above is insurmountable. It's hard work sure, but very rewarding.
And you don't have to do all the work yourself, there are plenty of solutions which
will do lots of the hard work for you, like the one I use.The important thing, as with any project, is to start and then to keep going. Imagine
your website as a snowball running down a hill. It starts off very small and has no
momentum. It takes hard work to roll it and help it grow, but once it reaches critical
mass it gains a momentum of its own, starts to roll by itself and grows
exponentially very quickly. Your web business is that snowball.Kenny Hemphill is a website owner and marketer. His current http://www.the-hdtv-tuner.com/about-this-site.html- snowball is gaining
mementum fast.

Public Speaking Tips: The More You Know, The More It Will Flow – Tips For Knowing Your Audience – Public-Speaking

Public Speaking Tips: The More You Know, The More It Will Flow - Tips For Knowing Your Audience

The more you know about your audience, the better your presentation will go.For example, if I've got a large diverse group, I'll ask the organisers to give me the names of five people who will be in the audience who represent a cross section across the organisation. I learnt this from listing to a Voices of Experiences CD with Rosita Perez put out by NSA of USA.I'll ring each individually prior to the presentation and the conversation will go like this after a brief introduction:Q: "What keeps you awake at night?"A: "What work of personal?"Q: "Both"I then get a great insight into the challenges they face, personally and professionally.I then summarise and work this into my presentation."Gathering intelligence about your target readers when writing a book or about your audience members prior to a presentation is an effective way to keep your readers or listeners awake, alert, amused, and involved. You can learn more about your audience members by asking the host specific questions about the group," according to US speaker Jeff Davidson. He suggests asking these questions:Who is the most popular person in the audience?Who is the least popular?Who wins the contests or gets all the honors?Who never gets any of them?Who has been with the organization the longest?Who recently came on board?Who is the biggest kidder?Who leaves the biggest tips?Who is known for falling asleep in presentations?"If you can gather the answers to any of these questions in advance, you have excellent tools at your command! The fact that you go the extra mile by finding out such information gets people buzzing about you and your presentation and makes you more memorable," Mr Davidson said in a recent article in SpeakerNet News published on the 20th May 2005.Thomas Murrell MBA CSP is an international business speaker, consultant and award-winning broadcaster. Flexibility Exercises For The Golf Swing Will Make All The Difference

Flexibility Exercises For The Golf Swing Will Make All The Difference

Virtually every golfer knows the importance of flexibility for a good golf swing but not everybody has fully accepted the key role that flexibility exercises can play.Few understand exactly why flexibility exercises have made such a huge difference for the golf swings of many a golfer. They are totally surprised and actually puzzled as to why this new exercise wave has swept across the game and is proving not to be just a fad but something that will continue to be a part and parcel of the game for many years to come.So why should flexibility exercise be so important for the golf swing? Is there not any other way that golfers can more comfortably improve on their golf swing without going for strenuous flexibility exercises? For a moment imagine the entire golf swing action from the back swing right through top impact and the follow through. What does you body feel as you go through the action? You will find that in many cases there is considerable pressure on certain parts of your body and even in some cases pain. This can best be seen with brand new golfers stepping onto the course for the very first time. And especially those who are not in good physical condition. The next question you need to ask yourself is why your body is felling the way it is? Why is it straining to simply hit a golf ball with a club? And yet it looks so simple and natural when those professionals like Tiger Woods are doing it?The simple answer to that question is that the movement for a golf swing is so unnatural to the body that it is straining and hence the great impact any simple flexibility exercise can have.It looked very easy and natural when you see the professionals make their match winning drives and it is because they have worked an and condition their bodies for the golf swing with plenty of flexibility exercises. The results speak for themselves. The golf swings look natural because they feel natural to the golfer. There really is no other way for you to see great improvements in your golf swing without the help of golf flexibility exercises.About The Author: Mike Pedersen is one of the top golf fitness experts in the country, author, and founder of several cutting-edge online golf fitness sites.
